Detroit Mental Disability SSDIB Claims Attorneys

Michigan Physical Disability Denied Claim Attorneys

Has your application for Social Security Disability Insurance benefits (SSDIB) been denied? Protect your rights by retaining an experienced Social Security Disability attorney.

Many SSDIB applicants who have a right to obtain benefits are denied because they are unable to show how their physical or mental impairments have impacted their ability to work. At Babut Law Offices, PLLC, we have a strong record of results in SSDIB appeals.

Applicants Who Suffer From Both Physical and Mental Impairments

One of the reasons why we have been so successful is that we take time to listen to our clients and understand all of the physical and mental impairments that may be impacting their ability to work.

If your application for SSDIB has been denied, we can file an appeal and represent you at your hearing before an administrative law judge (ALJ). The judge will consider evidence about all of your physical and mental impairments before concluding whether or not your ability to work has been significantly impaired.

Even if your physical or mental impairments, taken individually, would not warrant an award of SSDIB, the combination of your mental and physical impairments may be enough to obtain the benefits you need. For example:

  • You may have migraine headaches that impact your ability to work on an occasional basis. But if they are not frequent or severe, they may not satisfy the eligibility requirements for SSDIB. If you also experience occasional panic attacks or severe depression, however, the combination of your physical and mental impairments may be sufficient to obtain SSDIB.
  • You may have a back or neck problem that impacts your ability to return to work in construction or another labor-intensive job. However, if you are able to transition to an office job, you will not likely qualify for benefits. If you also suffer from an anxiety disorder that makes it difficult to work in an office setting, however, you may potentially qualify for SSDIB.

Obviously, it would be impossible to list all of the many different combinations of physical and mental impairments that could potentially qualify you for SSDIB. If you have applied for SSDIB and been denied, it is important that you take fast action. Let our attorneys put their experience to work for you. We are committed to providing the highly knowledgeable, skilled and compassionate representation you deserve.
